Approach to Social Contribution
Basic Concept of Community Contribution Activities
CHANGE's Community Contribution Activities
CHANGE Group (hereinafter, "our Group" or simply "we") has set the mission of "Change People, Change Business, Change Japan." Under the vision of "Changing Productivity," we aim to create a sustainable society by developing various businesses.
In Japan, where the labor force is significantly decreasing due to a declining birthrate and aging population, and facing complex and diverse social issues, it is necessary to change people and transform businesses, including industrial structures, to dramatically enhance the productivity of individuals and Japan as a whole for a socially and economically rich life.
In the Mid-term Business Plan announced in February 2021, we declared that we would expand our business from supporting large enterprises in the Tokyo metropolitan area to supporting companies and organizations in regions, including small and medium-sized enterprises outside the Tokyo area, which account for 70% of GDP.
Based on this expansion, in order to create a sustainable future for the region, we will build new alliances that involve companies, organizations, and even residents under the value of "Regional Revitalization," which not only expands business but also leads to solving social issues.
Internship Activities
We continuously implement employment experience programs (internship programs) with the aim of having university and graduate students, who will lead the next generation, proactively perceive the significance of working.
Our internship program is not a briefing session by HR Department or event-type internship, but a business participation-type internship where participants join actual ongoing projects to tangibly feel the transformation of customer operations and business models.
We do not conduct internship programs through a mass entry and selection process; instead, we conduct individual internship programs for applicants who have inquired. This is to make each employment experience more intensive and to provide valuable employment experience opportunities to young people who will lead the future.
Furthermore, we do not rigidly define the internship period but respond as flexibly as possible, and in terms of work, we strive to provide programs that align with the interns' initiative, interests, and potential.
Utilization Status of the System, etc.
The overview of the acceptance status of interns in our Group is as follows.
| Item | Number of Interns Accepted | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FY2021 | FY2022 | FY2023 | FY2024 | |
| Intern | 15 | 20 | 20 | 52 |
Community Contribution Activities
Volunteer Activities
Our group companies have established a system (volunteer leave system) to support employee participation in various volunteer activities and donor provision, such as disaster area reconstruction support, nature and environmental protection, social welfare, and sports.
Under the volunteer leave system, directly-employed employees are granted special leave (paid) that can be used when engaging in volunteer activities, and subsidies are provided as needed.
Activities to Promote Local Employment
As part of activities to promote local employment, Toko Computer Service Co., Ltd. (our subsidiary) invites students of junior high schools in Odate City (Akita prefecture) and provides programing exercises.
Additionally, as an in-school Hello Work (employment assistant center in schools), it explains its business activities to junior high school students. Furthermore, it participates in the job fair for junior high school students held by the Kitaakita Promotion Bureau in Kitaakita City and Odate City, where it provides company explanations.
Support for Disaster Area Recovery through "Furusato Choice Disaster Support"
"Furusato Choice Disaster Supportexternal link" is a system that utilizes hometown tax donations to solicit donations for the recovery and reconstruction of disaster-affected municipalities during disasters. The platform is provided free of charge to municipalities nationwide, regardless of contract status, allowing municipalities to report disaster situations and examples of donation utilization on the site, and donors can send support messages along with donations to the disaster areas. Approximately 1.9 billion yen was collected for the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, about 1.6 billion yen for the July 2018 Heavy Rain, about 470 million yen for the 2018 Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake, and over 2 billion yen for the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake. The total amount of donations exceeds 10 billion yen as of April 2024. Since the Kumamoto Earthquake, a system of "proxy donations" has been established, where municipalities outside the disaster area handle donation reception tasks. Disaster-affected municipalities can reduce their operational burden and allocate personnel to ensure the safety of residents.

Support for CHANGE Holdings Hayabusa Racing Activities
The Company supports the activities of CHANGE Holdings Hayabusa Racing as a sponsor.
CHANGE Holdings Hayabusa Racing is a student team of Tokyo challenging the STEM Racing World Championship. STEM Racing is an international STEM competition that recreates the world of F1, involving the design and production of mini racing cars, data analysis, marketing, and sponsorship acquisition, competing for the top position in the world. We formed this team with the desire to "compete globally and nurture talent that represents Japan." We have challenged the world championship in the past and experienced defeat. From that frustration, we have set the goal of "proving that Japanese students can also stand at the top of the world" and are building a team to win. However, our challenge is not just about winning races. Under the vision of "Ignite the Future," we are working on nurturing the next generation of talents, including ourselves, through the promotion of STEM Racing. We also aim to leverage this experience to connect to entrepreneurship and innovation. It is a place to gain the power to open up the future, beyond the framework of a mere student competition. That is CHANGE Holdings Hayabusa Racing. From Japan to the World, and into the Future, we will continue to challenge.

~Support for End-of-Life Care Association Activities~
Since 2015, we have been supporting the End-of-Life Care Association (located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Taketoshi Ozawa) by providing secretariat support and free office space. The End-of-Life Care Association (https://endoflifecare.or.jp/ external link) nurtures the mindset and ways of relating to those who suffer, cultivated in hospice settings dealing with limited life, so that one can remain calm even having difficult suffering like death or illness,.
This is named "Universal Hospice Mind" so that everyone can continue to learn throughout their lives about the unanswered mental issues of themselves and their loved ones, and education is being developed in schools, companies, and communities. By nurturing people and communities that recognize and care for each other, we aim to create a community where people can live peacefully until the end of their lives.
